For 11th Grade Students
Comprehensive Research and Enrichment Guidance Program
August-May of 11th grade
The Comprehensive Research and Enrichment Guidance package includes ten sessions with the student throughout the school year.
The research component is focused on exercises and research to identify right-fit colleges resulting in a personalized college list and application timeline in May. Students will learn to evaluate their own transcript, begin telling their story, and tee up recommendations for 12th grade. Each student will emerge from their junior year with a list of possible colleges, including “safe” applications as well as “stretch” applications and a basic understanding of the pricing and scholarship options available at each of the schools on their list.
The enrichment component is focused on helping students explore their passions and identify summer and school year enrichment opportunities to build their college resumes. Enrichment guidance starts with an exploration of what’s already available for students through their schools, and often goes well beyond that to finding the summer learning opportunities and specialized programs tailored just for them.
